A major West Boynton apartment community is moving ahead with a multimillion-dollar financing plan for renovations. Palm Park Apartments, located at 12575 Green Cay Farm Boulevard near Jog Road and Flavor Pict Road, is a 160-unit complex built in 2007. Palm Beach County has authorized up to $27.25 million in housing revenue bonds to help finance the property’s acquisition and rehabilitation. The financing could be used for upgrades to the apartments, buildings and other parts of the community.
This includes a clubhouse, pool, fitness center and playground. But one important stipulation is that at least 40% of the apartments must remain available to households earning no more than 60% of the area median income for at least 30 years. For Boynton residents, the project is not just about improving an older apartment complex. It is also about preserving more affordable housing in an area where housing costs have risen sharply. The county itself is not responsible for repaying the bonds.
A Major Flood Fix Is Moving Forward In Boynton
Boynton Beach is moving ahead with a project aimed at reducing flooding in the Heart of Boynton, where heavy summer rains can leave streets covered with standing water. The focus is the NW 3rd Street area near the C-16 Canal, an older part of the city where drainage problems have been a concern during strong storms. The city has already secured grant funding and is now working through the planning and engineering phase.
The goal is to help stormwater move out of the neighborhood faster, reducing the chances of flooded roads and water creeping toward nearby homes and properties. It may not be the kind of project that gets a lot of attention when the weather is dry, but during a major downpour, it could make a very noticeable difference. Final construction details and a firm timeline have not yet been announced.

A New $5 Million Project Is Coming Just North of Boynton
A new Palm Beach County library is planned just north of Boynton Beach, giving nearby residents another convenient place for books, computers and community programs. The new Hypoluxo Branch will be built at 7200 S. Federal Highway, on the northeast corner of Federal Highway and Park Lane East. An older one-story building currently sits on the property and will be demolished to make room for the new branch. Plans call for roughly 3,300 square feet of library space, along with new parking, drainage and pedestrian improvements. Construction is expected to begin around mid-2027, with completion targeted for late 2028. For Boynton residents, especially those on the city’s north side, it will mean another nearby county library option.
