A Major Shift Is Set to Transform Hagen Ranch Road
70 New Townhomes Are Approved as a Beloved West Boynton Garden Center Relocates
PulteGroup has received unanimous approval from the Palm Beach County Board of Commissioners to build 70 townhomes on a 10-acre site at 10438 Hagen Ranch Road in West Boynton Beach. The project required rezoning the land from Agricultural Residential to Single-Family Residential and approval of a Class A Conditional Use permit. The development will replace the longtime Hagen Road Garden Center, a family-owned nursery operated by the Cardona family for over 13 years. The garden center plans to relocate behind Four Points near the corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and SR 441. The move is expected in roughly six months. Nearby residents have expressed concern about increased traffic along Hagen Ranch Road, which already sees more than 15,000 vehicles daily and has no planned road widening.
Boynton Beach Is Quietly Becoming a Business Hotspot
Boynton Beach has evolved into a strong regional economic center, now home to approximately 6,300 businesses employing nearly 45,000 people and generating more than $6 billion in annual revenue. Small and mid-sized enterprises form the foundation of the local economy, with retail, service, healthcare, and professional sectors leading overall activity. Commercial growth continues across the city, from ongoing revitalization efforts in downtown to expanding development in West Boynton. Since 2000, business growth has closely mirrored population increases, reflecting rising demand for services, jobs, and commercial infrastructure. Despite the loss of some national chains, the overall business climate remains positive, with many local business owners planning further expansion.
