Boynton Beach Is Getting a Game-Changing Racket Sports Complex in 2026
Serve it Up! New Tennis And Pickleball Facility Coming To Boynton Beach
A new racket sports facility, located in West Boynton, called The Brook, is scheduled to open in 2026 at 8255 Boynton Beach Blvd. The new facility will add a year-round option for racket enthusiasts who enjoy tennis and pickleball. The Brook will offer five indoor tennis courts, and 14 indoor pickleball courts, allowing patrons to escape Florida’s stifling heat and unpredictable summer storms.
Two outdoor tennis courts and six outdoor pickleball courts will also be added. The availability of indoor play will be definitely be a big draw and something our area has needed for a while. Professional lighting, with viewing areas and a pro-shop, will help make this a signature property. Opportunities for leagues, youth development, and tournaments should help foster enthusiasm and community spirit for all ages and skill levels.
Boynton Beach Takes a Big Step in the Fight Against Food Insecurity
The City of Boynton Beach recently announced an approval for an expansion of the Feeding South Florida facility. Located on Park Ridge Boulevard in Quantum Corporate Park, it helps many local residents in need on a daily basis. Unanimous approval came recently to construct a new 32,000 square-foot warehouse with dry storage areas, freezers, cold storage, loading docks and additional office space. This final phase of expansion will allow the organization to significantly increase its support for families facing food insecurity.

On Saturday, January 10th, at 9:30 am there will be an all-age event called Bird Talk & Tour: Birds of Prey offered at Green Cay Wetlands and Nature Center. Located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road in Boynton Beach, this outdoor venue is loaded with beautiful wildlife views and a boardwalk. A Florida bird presentation begins the event, followed by a one-hour tour with a local naturalist. Binoculars and cameras are encouraged. Tickets are $5 and reservations are required. The 2nd Annual Seafood Festival is being held on Saturday, January 10th, at Mizner Park Ampitheater, located at 590 Plaza Real in Boca Raton. From noon to 8:00 pm delicious local seafood options will be available from a variety of vendors. Neptune’s Market, hosting nautical themed gifts, and the Chef’s Seafood Showdown cooking competition, are just a few of the highlights. With live music, games and crafts, and even a crab cake challenge, the day will be full of activities and fun. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the festival. The Good Day Market is back at Boynton Beach Mall near Dillard’s this Sunday, January 11th, from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. It’s located at 801 N.
