Boynton Beach's Dining Scene Has a Dirty Secret—and It Just Got Exposed
December health inspections revealed shocking violations at 56 local eateries. Is yours one of them?
Before dining out in Boynton Beach, you might want to check recent health inspection reports. In December 2025, 56 local restaurants, chains, coffee shops, country clubs, and food trucks racked up health code violations - some serious enough to trigger immediate closures. Early January 2026 saw seven more establishments cited for food safety lapses.
Out of 262 Palm Beach County inspections in December, only 151 restaurants passed on first attempt. The remaining 111 failed and required follow-up visits. Common violations included:
Poor kitchen sanitation
Missing or incorrect food date labels
Improper storage temperatures
Dirty prep stations
Inadequate pest control
These violations ranged from minor administrative issues to high-priority health risks. While inspections are just snapshots, Florida law requires all food service locations to maintain strict safety standards. Kitchen staff must also complete food handling courses and carry certification cards.
You can check any restaurant’s inspection history before you visit at myfloridalicense.com through the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. A quick look could help you dine with confidence.
