The Boynton Weekly Interviewed At WPTV's "Let's Hear It" Event
Dozens of locals shared their stories—here's what we told the news crew about our mission

One of our contributors, Marilyn, attended WPTV’s “Let’s Hear It” event at the Boynton Beach Arts and Cultural Center this past Wednesday, October 22. She joined many local residents who came to share their stories. The turnout included folks showcasing their artistic talents and businesses, residents seeking help with community concerns, and neighbors discussing happenings around town and their subdivisions.
Marilyn was granted a one-on-one on-camera interview with the WPTV news team. She discussed our newsletter’s development, growing subscriber base, and our approach to delivering community news and events to local residents. Her interview was approximately 15 minutes long, with 10 minutes being off-camera and five minutes on-camera. The station asked us how our newsletter came about and what incited us to begin it. Lastly, the station wanted to know what kind of news we would be covering and how many times per week; we publish an emailed newsletter every Tuesday and Friday mornings.
The station staff expressed appreciation for our focus on positive, community-centered content, noting it was a welcome change from the challenging stories they typically cover. While station privacy policies prevented us from taking our own photos or video, we had the opportunity to speak with both the news crew and fellow residents before their interviews. WPTV hasn’t confirmed when our segment might air, so be sure to watch for us in their upcoming broadcasts and let your neighbors know!
